The food here is absolutely delicious. I came here on Mother's Day with my 2 boys and husband. We all ended up trying a little bit of each other's meal, and no one was disappointed. Do get the onion rings! The waitress was wearing a really fun Rock n' Roll mom t-shirt which was personable and she was really sweet! It didn't bother us because we are a small family, but the place is small, so no big gatherings.
Cozy, convenient, and consistent are three descriptions I’d use to describe Country House. The food is quite delicious and the menu rarely changes (for the better)… The length of time this location has served the community, it’s become a bit of a popular place, prompting reservations or a wait if you don’t plan ahead. The steaks are quite nice, fish choices are seasonal, and the regular dinners are a perfected craft of choice cooking. I’d recommend nearly anything and you will most definitely enjoy the generous portions.
Very cute place. The service has always been great. I really enjoyed the Salmon Sanwich and my husband liked the French Onion Soup.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars I do not throw around “best burger of my life” lightly, but this one earned it in the first bite. I have heard locals swear by Country House for years. You know how that usually goes, hometown hype, lowered expectations. I finally came in on a day off, ordered the burger made with a sirloin, chuck, and brisket blend, kept it simple with bacon, American cheese, and a little mayo, and immediately realized I had been wrong. This is a serious burger. You can tell the meat is ground in house just from the texture and freshness alone. It is juicy, loose, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The American cheese melts exactly how it should, and the bun is outstanding. Soft, pillowy, fresh, and clearly not an afterthought. Most places overlook the bun, this one absolutely does not. My friend and I took one bite and immediately looked at each other like, “Yeah… this is incredible.” No exaggeration. For context, two of my previous favorite burgers were the Holy Cow burger at Harry Caray’s and the burger at Au Cheval, which is often ranked among the best burgers in America. Both are excellent. This burger is better than both of them. Hands down. The fries are a thicker cut, Southern style, which I actually love. Next time I will ask for them extra crispy, purely personal preference and not a complaint. The place was busy, service was great, and I loved the old school touch of free peanuts and tossing the shells on the floor. This is a historic spot that knows exactly who it is. I have eaten a lot of great food across DuPage County. Steaks, sushi, pasta, pizza, you name it. Honestly, this burger might be the single best food item I have had anywhere in the county. I will absolutely be back, and it will be very hard not to order this same burger again.
Local staple. Been going here since I was old enough to walk. Amazing burgers, French onion soup, sandwiches, and even the steaks are solid for a casual spot. Service is always friendly and very attentive. Country House is always my choice whenever it’s time to go out to eat to celebrate something. You can’t go wrong with anything there. But just get a burger. You won’t regret it.
I've been a regular at the Country House for years now, and I have to say, their burgers are my absolute favorite! They're simply delicious. And you can't go wrong with their onion rings either. I also really enjoy having the roasted veggies as a side dish instead of fries, especially when the weather is nice. And of course, the cheese curd appetizer is always a great option.
Best burgers and service! Love this spot. Always warm and welcoming with incredible food to match the homey atmosphere. The burgers can’t be beat and neither can the hospitality and service. One of my favorite comfort spots. If you’ve never been, do yourself a favor and go here.
Country House has stood the test of time. I remember going here as a little girl with my grandma, my parents, and now as an adult, and it’s never diminished in quality or decreased in quaint coziness. The service is attentive, genuinely friendly, and assuringly knowledgeable. The atmosphere is that of an old world supper club from the past. The menu has plentiful options without being overwhelming. We plan to come back and bring guests, and have added this to our list of “Hidden Gems for Out of Town Visitors.”
What can I say. My boyfriend and I were just driving ine day, we're out by Ohare - and we passed this place. Something gravitated me to the building as we were passing, I told him to stop but he didnt. So a few weeks later I got on my phone and had to pull out my map and all this other stuff trying to remember what roads we took to get there. I finally found it!!! So about a month later we went in there and had lunch it was great food fantastic service fantastic. We just went in there again for lunch yesterday my stomach was feeling kind of sick from the night before but I ordered a bowl of french onion soup I got the gouda cheese and brisket sandwich and then got a large chili to go. I don't remember my server's name unfortunately but she told me if she's been there 20 years and then we met a wonderful woman named Lynn who got us up to date on all the ghost stories and also the plane crash in 1961 in the cornfield. We signed up for the rewards and then she gave us the sheet about the Paranormal and all the channels that they were on. Again we're out in Bensenville and Addison I'm making this when you go to restaurant. Everyone is so friendly you just feel like you're having dinner at a family member's house. I can't explain the feeling you get when you leave there it's almost like you were in a different era or country or place it's not explainable you have to go to understand it takes you away for that time you're there eating. Again I have a ton of Google reviews that I do and when I'm telling you this is a place to be this is the place to be. Prices are very reasonable the food is incredible the Ambiance you won't get anywhere else and again the server and when felt like they were family that I haven't seen in awhile. This is worth of 15 minutes a half an hour drive most definitely
